We are so excited that you are interested in being a part of our 2023 Worthdays for the Holidays program. Our organization celebrates children and youth in our local child welfare system (foster care + Child Protective Services) who otherwise would not be celebrated on important days in their lives.

Many of the the children we serve live in group homes, treatment centers, programs that support them in transitioning to living on their own or programs for teen parents. Some of the children we serve have parents who are in foster care themselves, are transitioning to being reunified with their parents or are living with a family member so that they don’t have to enter foster care. Whatever the circumstance is for these children, it is our plan to ensure they experience the joy of the holiday season! We are so excited that you want to join us in sending the message that no matter what they are worthy of being celebrated.

Last year we celebrated 180 children in Virginia’s child welfare system with the majority in Richmond City’s foster care system. This year we will also serve children in Hanover County, Petersburg and James City County.
