Help Meet Unmet Needs

There are many needs that go unmet in our foster care system.

Through meeting these unmet needs, we have been able to help improve normalcy for kids in care, relieve burdens associated with achieving permanency and support opportunities for youth who have aged out of care.

Through the generosity of our community, we have had opportunities to meet need such as:

  • Helping a young woman who aged out of foster care obtain all the necessary infant items for the very early delivery of her infant daughter.

  • Helping a young boy in a group home, awaiting adoption, who needed a weighted blanket for calming during this difficult time in his life.

  • Helping a young man who aged out of foster care obtain a specialized laptop for his major at the college where he is working towards his bachelors degree.

  • Helping a young woman who was transitioning from a residential treatment center to the home of a relative obtain a bed, mattress and bedding for her new room.

  • Helping a young mom working towards reunification with her two young children to obtain household essentials necessary to create a supportive and comforting home.

And many more.

Many times, these needs are child and family specific and need to be met very quickly. In these cases, we often use an Amazon wishlist that supporters can purchase from to invest in these needs. Make sure to like our Facebook page and our Facebook group to stay up to date on opportunities to help meet needs. Donations to our organization also further our ability to meet these needs for young people in our foster care community.
